Another perfect example of fixing something that isn't broken. The functionality has become very sketchy while also looking worse. More often than not it hangs making the connection and has to be force stopped, cache cleaned and restarted to work near how it should. The UI is awkward and clunky. I haven't seen one feature that's better and a lot that are simply worse.

After using Chrome Remote Desktop for years, I can say it's a pretty decent way to quickly remote access a computer. However with the recent changes of the app to move away from a dedicated app and into what looks like a sandboxed Chrome extension running on Android, the app feels much more clunky than it used to be. There are quite a few issues that make it less user friendly, including the new keyboard being sized for an ant. The old UI experience was much better.

This app was 4 stars for me until the update with immersive mode. Now it's perfect. Thanks Google! Edit: 1/10/2024 My previous review is from 2014 when the app was superb. That's how long I've been using this wonderful program, over 10 years. That all changes now as we end 2023 and enter 2024. Your forced change to Web based applet is yet another example of the disastrous consequences Chromium is having on the computing space. It ruins everything it touches. I will be finding another app now.
