Ever wished you could create your own Google Maps-using web application? Well, this should be a push in the right direction.

Developer Peter Rukavina, creator of the Charlottetown Transit map, has been good enough to include the full source code of his project on his wiki. Rukavina describes his setup using PHP and javascript; he also details setting up the proper MySQL tables.

This should be a good starting point for any programmers or developers out there looking to understand how to plug into Google Maps and get started developing their own service.
